Day 1 - KUIDAS CAMP, HUAB RIVER VALLEY Your tour will start at Windhoek airport at 07h00 for an early flight to Sossusvlei, which in located within the Namib Naukluft Park. Sossusvlei is famous for its breathtaking dunes, which are absolutely breathtaking to behold. After landing at Sesriem you will take a 4x4 drive into the dunes, and attempt a climb if you feel fit enough to take this challenge. Later, you will fly along the coast via Conception Bay towards Swakopmund, spotting shipwrecks along the coast such as the famous Eduard Bohlen shipwreck at Conception Bay. After landing and refuelling at Swakopmund, you will take a low-level flight north along the Skeleton Coast over the seal colony at Cape Cross to enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach. After lunch you will fly over the beautiful desert, to the Ugab formations before landing at Kuidas Camp in the Huab River Valley, where you will camp overnight. (L,D)
Day 2 - PURROS CAMP, HOARUSIB VALLEY This morning after breakfast you will set off for a 4x4 drive across the Huab River area to see the wide range of plants and wildlife. On your return to camp you will have lunch before flying to Terrace Bay in the Skeleton Coast Park. Shipwrecks along this part of the coast including the Montrose and Henrietta. Explore the dunes and beach before you fly to Purros Camp in the Hoarusib Valley in the Kunene Region, where you stay for the night. (B,L,D)
Day 3 - KUNENE RIVER CAMP, KUNENE A delicious breakfast, and then you set off for a scenic drive along the Hoarusib Valley to visit a Himba settlement to see how these semi-nomadic people live. You will then fly over to the Skeleton Coast to the Kunene River. Highlights here include the Kaiu Maru shipwreck and other pieces from old sailing vessels along the coastline. A scenic drive will take you to a lunch spot, and then you will drive through the Hartmann Valley to Kunene River Camp to have dinner and stay overnight. (B,L,D)
DAY 4 – ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK On the second last day of your tour you will have an early breakfast, before setting off to enjoy an early morning boat trip on the Kunene River, with an abundance bird life and a few crocodiles to be seen. After lunch at the camp, you will fly directly to the eastern side of the Etosha National Park, where we spend the night at a lodge outside the park. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - WINDHOEK On the last day of the tour, you will either fly or drive into the park for a game drive. An abundance of game such as lion, steenbok, springbok, eland, zebra, wildebeest and elephant can be spotted at various water holes throughout the park, offering excellent game viewing. After this it is time to fly back to Windhoek in the afternoon, ending the tour before dark. (B,L)
