Overview

Popa Falls is actually not falls at all, but rather a series of small rapids on the Okavango River, that give the resort its name. The camp is very rustic and simple, yet it offers clean and comfortable accommodation in camp sites or thatched river huts. Guests share a communal kitchen, and clean bathrooms are available at the ablutions block. Additional facilities and services at the camp include a restaurant, bar, lounge area, laundry service, supply shop, filling station nearby and a river nearby for swimming.

Guests have a number of activities to enjoy in the area, such as fishing, bird watching, canoeing, swimming, boating, unguided game drives to Mahango Game Reserve and exploring the variety of walking trails in the area. Fishing permits are available at the camp; no fishing may be done without a permit however. Due to the remoteness and simple nature of the camp, there is very little noise and disruptions, which make it an ideal camp to enjoy the beauty and calm of the surrounding wetlands and lush woodlands, and to spot a wide variety of game and bird life.
