The NamibRand Nature Reserve is a private nature reserve located in southern Namibia, established to help protect and conserve the unique ecology and wildlife of the south-west Namib Desert.
Game includes 3,200 oryx and 12,400 springbok, plus kudu, zebra, giraffe, klipspringer, steenbok, hartebeest, baboon, leopard, spotted and brown hyena, black-backed jackal, aardwolf, bat-eared fox, Cape fox, African wildcat, caracal and genet.
Activities to enjoy include hot-air ballooning, walking trails, game drives, game viewing, bird watching and more.
Habitats consist of steep, rocky mountain ranges, enormous savannahs, vegetated dunes of deep red sand, and clay pans.
A number of excellent lodges and camps are situated within the reserve, offering ideal bases from which to explore the area.
