Built atop and amid the huge red parallel Kalahari dunes, Bagatelle's luxury chalets and rooms stand defiant against the relentless sun and the searing wind. Four Dune Chalets, well separated from each other, stand on stilts on top of the red dunes, with unsurpassed views to the south-west, across the dune landscape. Each has en-suite facilities with bath and shower, air- conditioning, a coffee/tea station and bar-fridge.
Six Strohbale Chalets, constructed with thick walls built from plastered straw bales, stand well apart from each other in the street between the dunes, with scenic views. Each chalet has en-suite shower facilities, air- conditioning, coffee/tea station and a bar-fridge.
Two Adjoining Garden Court Rooms each have en-suite shower facilities, ceiling cooling fans, air conditioner and coffee/tea station.
Five Individual Campsites have been set up in a nearby street between the dunes. Each has a fully tiled ablution block with toilet, shower, washbasin and mirror, gas-fired hot water, solar lighting and romantic paraffin lamp lighting. Relax around your own camp-fire and enjoy your own Kalahari camping safari!

Close encounters with the wonders of the Kalahari. Your knowledgeable Guide will explore the dunes, revealing some of their mysteries, and search for the creatures and animals of the desert who have adapted to survive in its harsh conditions.

No better way to end the daylight hours than by watching the dying rays of the sun as they re-draw the landscape in ever-changing colours, especially with a cool sundowner in your hand.
Cheetah Feeding
Experience a very special cheetah feeding tour in the evenings.. The cheetahs at Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch live under the auspices of the Cheetah Conservation Fund because of their individual histories, it is impossible for any of these captive animals ever to be released and to survive in the wild. The lodge staff care for them in order to guarantee them the best possible quality of life.

In the Restaurant the chef will tease your taste-buds with delicious meals morning, noon and night. The cellar holds an excellent selection of South African wines together with an extensive range of brandy, whisky, cognac and liqueurs.
The nerve centre of the Lodge is an old rambling farmhouse, rebuilt and renovated to serve as reception area, lounge, dining room, bar, cellar and office.

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch is situated approximately 50Km from Mariental amid the red rolling dunes of the Kalahari Desert.
From Windhoek and the north
Take the B1 main tarred road southwards, past Rehoboth and Kalkrand.
Approximately 12 km before you reach Mariental, turn left at the large
intersection with the new tarred C20 road which then takes you eastwards.
After about 12 km, take the first left turn on to the D1268 gravel road. Continue northwards for roughly 25 km until you reach the sign indicating Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch on the right hand side of the road. The Ranch is another 3 - 4 km into the dunes, where a warm welcome awaits you.

Children of all ages are welcome
Children between the ages of 0-3 sharing with parents are free of charge.
Children between the ages of 4-12 sharing with parents are charged 40% of the rack rate.
