Wildlife to be seen in the area includes Mountain Zebra (Hartman Zebra), Kudu, Klipspringer, Leopard, Steenbok, Baboon and Springbok, and bird life in the area includes Pelicans, Black Eagles, Fish Eagles, Kingfishers, Lovebirds, Wild Ostrich and many species of waterfowl and wading birds, including Herons.
