Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 - TERRA AFRICA GUEST HOUSE, WINDHOEK
On arrival at the airport, you will collect your vehicle at the relevant car rental company kiosk and travel the short distance to Windhoek to reach your guest house. The rest of the day is spent at leisure.

DAY 2 - OKOMITUNDU GUEST FARM, KHOMAS HOCHLAND
After breakfast you will travel to the Khomas Hochland region, where you will arrive at your guest farm. Enjoy warm hospitality and a home-cooked dinner around the table with your hosts. (B,D)

DAY 3 - OKOMITUNDU GUEST FARM, KHOMAS HOCHLAND
In the early morning you can accompany the farmer on his daily farm inspection. This includes checking fences for possible damage and also ensuring the proper functioning of the wind generated water pumps. You could also choose to explore the farm on horseback. After lunch and a rest, you can enjoy a sun downer game drive up Kudu Mountain. (B,D)

DAY 4 - WATERBERG GUEST FARM, WATERBERG
After a hearty breakfast travel to your next guest farm, this is situated at the foot of the majestic Waterberg Plateau. This farm breeds cattle as well as wild Arabian horses, and offers amazing views that can be enjoyed during nature walks or guided game drives. (B,D)

DAY 5 - HALALI CAMP, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
After a true farm breakfast, travel further north to the Etosha National Park. En route you have the option of visiting the Cheetah Conservation Fund. You will reach your camp, where you can relax for the rest of the afternoon. (B)

DAY 6 - HALALI CAMP, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Today is spent enjoying game drives or related activties, where you can see elephant, black and white rhino, lions, leopard, cheetah, large herds of springbok, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and many other game species. (B)

DAY 7 - EILEEN GUEST FARM, OMARURU
You will travel to your next farm today, which is a stock and game farm. Help the farmer out with daily chores and view wildlife at the farm. You can also visit the rock art nearby and enjoy dinner with your host family. (B,D)

DAY 8 - EILEEN GUEST FARM, OMARURU
Start the day with an early game drive, and then drive to Omaruru town to view the sights. You could also visit one of Namibia's only wine farms to learn more about wine farming in the country. A delicious farm lunch can be enjoyed before you return to your guest farm. (B,D)

DAY 9 & 10 - ORANGE HOUSE, SWAKOPMUND
After a hearty breakfast, it is time to depart for Swakopmund, passing Spitzkoppe and other highlights. Here you will spend the next two days enjoying adventure activities and exploring the area. (B)

DAY 11 - NIEDERSACHSEN GUEST FARM, NAMIB DESERT
Your self-drive adventure continues today as you head towards the Namib Desert. You will visit the Kuiseb Canyon before arriving at your next farm, which is a small Karakul sheep farm. (B,D)

DAY 12 - NIEDERSACHSEN GUEST FARM, NAMIB DESERT
Enjoy a delicious farm breakfast, before setting off to enjoy the day at leisure. Try scenic hikes, guided game drives or excursions to nearby attractions, before returning for a hearty dinner. (B,D)

DAY 13 - BÜLLSPORT GUEST FARM, NAMIB DESERT
Today you will head out further into the desert, to the famous dunes of Sossusvlei. Explore the area from your guest farm, which also offers scenic walks and horse trails, plus guided afternoon nature drives. (B,D)

DAY 14 - BÜLLSPORT GUEST FARM, NAMIB DESERT
The day begins with a sunrise over the dunes at Sossusvlei, followed by visits to Dead Vlei before travelling back via Solitaire to sample their famous apple pie. (B,D)

DAY 15 - ETANGO GUEST FARM, WINDHOEK
On your second last day, you will travel north back to Windhoek. Spend the day exploring craft markets and other attractions before heading to your guest farm to overnight. (B,D)

DAY 16 - WINDHOEK
On the last day of the self-drive tour, you will head to the airport to drop off your car and take your flight back home. (B)
