Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - SOLITAIRE COUNTRY LODGE, SOSSUSVLEI
The tour begins in Windhoek, where you will be collected from the airport or your accommodation. You will then proceed into the vast Namib Desert to the Sossusvlei region, famous for its majestic dunes. You will be staying overnight at a lodge in this area.

Day 2 - SOLITAIRE COUNTRY LODGE, SOSSUSVLEI
The morning starts at dawn, to watch a sunrise at Sossusvlei, a photographers dream. You will then have the chance to explore the dunes around Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, followed by a quick breakfast. Later in the morning you will visit Sesriem Canyon, and then the afternoon is spent at leisure. (B)

Day 3 - SCHWEIZERHAUS HOTEL, SWAKOPMUND
This morning after breakfast the tour continues to Swakopmund. Game you may see on route includes springbuck, oryx, ostriches and mountain zebra. You will stop to visit Vogelfederberg, an artistically eroded granite hill, before travelling through Walvis Bay to your accommodation in Swakopmund. In the afternoon you can enjoy a desert tour, followed by sparkling wine sundowners before returning to your hotel for the night. (B)

Day 4 - SCHWEIZERHAUS HOTEL, SWAKOPMUND
Today you can take your pick from a wide variety of activities in Swakopmund and surrounds, including dolphin cruises, scenic flights, quad biking, dune boarding, desert explorations, sky diving and much more. You will overnight at your hotel again tonight. (B)

Day 5 - TWYFELFONTEIN LODGE, DAMARALAND
After breakfast the tour continues past the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain into Damaraland. This region is remote and vast, and is home to the rare desert elephant and the Black rhino. Highlights today include the burnt mountain and the organ pipes geological attractions. You will then continue to your lodge where you will overnight. (B)

Day 6 - OPUWO COUNTRY LODGE, KAOKOLAND
This morning after breakfast you will visit to Twyfelfontein, a World Heritage Site, where over 2500 ancient San engravings and paintings are found. You will then visit the amazing Petrified Forest; before continuing on to Opuwo, the capital of the Kaokoland, where you will overnight. (B)

Day 7 - OPUWO COUNTRY LODGE, KAOKOLAND
Today after breakfast you will enjoy a full day northern Kaokoland excursion, and weather permitting, a trip to the Epupa Falls, a cascading network of falls that tumble over a multitude of rock shelves into a deep gorge. You will then visit an Ovimba village to learn more about their cultures. You will stay overnight at Opuwo Country Lodge again on this day. (B)

Day 9 - OSHAKATI COUNTRY LODGE, OVAMBOLAND
A delicious breakfast, and then it’s time to continue via Ruacana into Ovamboland. Highlights include interesting historical sights, including a giant Baobab Tree, formerly used as a prison and a post office. You will also experience a visit to the Oshiwambo tribe, to see a traditional “Kraal” inhabited by local residents, and learn about the Oshiwambo local life, culture and customs. In the afternoon you will arrive at your lodge, where you stay overnight. (B)

Day 10 - HALALI CAMP, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast you will enter Etosha National Park, where the next two days will be spent game viewing. The park is home to 4 of the Big Five, with a wide diversity of mammals and birds, including rare species such as black-faced impala, roan and cheetah. You will stay overnight at a stunning camp. (B)

Day 11 - GHAUB GUEST FARM/OHANGE LODGE, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
This morning you will have an early breakfast, before travelling to the eastern side of the park for another day of game viewing. In the afternoon you will continue to your lodge, where the rest of the day is spent at leisure. (B)

Day 12 - WINDHOEK
On your final day of the tour, you will travel back to Windhoek where you will be dropped off at your accommodation of choice, or transferred to the airport for your outward flight.
