Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 - INTERMEZZO GUESTHOUSE/HANSA HOTEL, SWAKOPMUND
Today you depart from Windhoek to drive to Swakopmund. Along the way you will visit a Bushman settlement and enjoy a guided walk before arriving at your accommodation.

DAY 2 - INTERMEZZO GUESTHOUSE/HANSA HOTEL, SWAKOPMUND
This day is spent at leisure, enjoying the host of activities on offer in the Swakopmund and nearby Walvis Bay area. You will overnight here again tonight. (B)

DAY 3 - TWYFELFONTEIN LODGE/MOWANI MOUNTAIN CAMP, TWYFELFONTEIN
After breakfast you will leave for Damaraland, stopping to view game such as rhino, desert elephant and kudu. You will also visit attractions such as Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes, and visit some local craft stalls before arriving at camp. (B - Silver) (B,D - Gold)

DAY 4 - PALMWAG LODGE/GROOTBERG LODGE, DAMARALAND
This morning you will drive to the World Heritage Site at Twyfelfontein to view the thousands of rock engravings and paintings. You will return to your lodge via the Petrified Forest. (B,D)

DAY 5 - PALMWAG LODGE/GROOTBERG LODGE, DAMARALAND
Options for today include a guided rhino or elephant tracking experience, or a scenic walk, or a nature drive in the area. The rest of the day is spent at leisure. (B,D)

DAY 6 - OPUWO COUNTRY LODGE, KAOKOVELD
This morning you travel into the rugged and unspoilt Kaokoveld, a land inhabited by the Ovahimba. These proud and statuesque people still stick to their traditional values and cultures; over the next few days you can enjoy opportunities to visit one or more of the villages. You will continue on to your lodge, where you overnight. (B - Silver) (B,D - Gold)

DAY 7 - OMARUNGA CAMP/EPUPA CAMP, EPUPA FALLS
Today you will travel north towards Epupa Falls. You will see game along the way, including springbok, kudu and ostrich. Your lodge is situated right near the falls, and the rest of the day is spent relaxing and enjoy the views. (B,D)

DAY 8 - OMARUNGA CAMP/EPUPA CAMP, EPUPA FALLS
This day is spent at leisure, enjoying the sights and exploring the area. You can also choose optional activities including scenic walks, canoeing or birdwatching. (B,D)

DAY 9 - KUNENE RIVER LODGE, KUNENE
This morning you will travel to the western corner of Kaokoland to Swartbooi's Drift, along the banks of the Kunene River. Enjoy a host of activities or relax at camp. (B - Silver) (B,D - Gold)

DAY 10 - OSHAKATI COUNTRY HOTEL, OSHAKATI
After breakfast you travel west via Ruacana, and enter the area locally known as the 'Region of the four O’s'. This area is inhabited by the Ovambo, the largest ethnic group in Namibia. Attractions on your way include a giant Baobab tree in Outapi as well as a Royal King’s Homestead in Tsandi, where you can learn more about Ovambo culture before continuing to your hotel. DAY 11 - HALALI CAMP/MUSHARA LODGE, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will depart for Etosha National Park. The day is spent at leisure, with game drives and other game focused activities on offer. (B - Silver) (B,D - Gold)

DAY 12 - GHAUB GUEST FARM/MUSHARA LODGE, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
This second last day is spent enjoying game drives and spotting a host of wildlife within the park. You will move to your next camp (Bronze level only). (B - Silver) (B,D - Gold)

DAY 13 - WINDHOEK
On the final day of this self-drive tour, you will return to Windhoek airport, where the tour comes to an end. (B)
