About Caprivi Strip |
With such an abundance of game and bird life to be seen, it is no wonder that activities within the Caprivi Strip focus on game viewing and nature walks or drives. Guests holidaying within the region can enjoy all the wonders of this beautiful and green region.
This is one of the few places in Namibia where hippo and crocodile can be seen, not to mention species such as buffalo, wild dog, elephant, black-faced impala, hyena, lion, leopard and many others. There are also over 400 species of bird within the region, including many endemic Namibian species. In addition to game and bird life, the rivers of the Caprivi are home to more than 70 species of fish – creating ideal fishing opportunities, especially for the much-famed Tiger fish. |
